Earth & Arbor Day Festival this weekend

Wednesday is Earth Day and this Friday is Arbor Day, and there are several events throughout the week marking both green days.

That includes the Earth and Arbor Day Festival that’s taking place this weekend.

Diana Mendelsohn, one of the event’s organizers, was on 16 Morning News today to talk about the festival. To hear her interview, click on the link above.

The Earth and Arbor Day Festival is this Saturday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Howard Park.

It will feature several activities for kids including planting trees, making bird feeders, and riding a cherry picker.

You can also recycle old CDs, magnets, and crayons on-site. Plus, kids can learn how to make decorations and necklaces out of those CDs.

There will also be live music, as well as many exhibits from local groups, businesses and clubs.
