Monday kicked off "Bike to Work Week" in Michiana, and with so many folks getting their blood pumping out on their bikes, the Indiana Blood Center decided to hold a mobile blood drive.
The "Blood Bus" was parked outside the Morris Performing Arts Center to collect for a critical need for blood across the state of Indiana.
It only takes about a half-hour to donate. "Whether it's someone you know or don't know, it's really important to take that time to save a life," says blood tech Steve Elliott.
The mobile unit expected to get about 20 donations today.
All the blood stays within the community.
