It might not be the shirt off their back, but a new program in Elkhart will give you as many shirts off the rack that you can fit in a bag.
The Shepherds Cove Clothing Closet opened its doors Sunday. Families in need of clothing were welcomed, and were able to fill a bag with clothing for free.
The outreach program is made possible by the Calvary Assembly of God.
This has been a wonderful calling that has been put on our hearts to do this and it has been truly a blessing. The more communication I've gotten out in to the community the more feedback that I’ve gotten that this is really truly a need,” says Billie King, Coordinator at Shepard's Cove.
The Closet is open the second Sunday every month from 1:30 to 3:30.
