It might not be the shirt off their back, but a new program in Elkhart will give you as many shirts off the rack that you can fit in a bag.

The Shepherds Cove Clothing Closet opened its doors Sunday. Families in need of clothing were welcomed, and were able to fill a bag with clothing for free.

The outreach program is made possible by the Calvary Assembly of God.

This has been a wonderful calling that has been put on our hearts to do this and it has been truly a blessing. The more communication I've gotten out in to the community the more feedback that I’ve gotten that this is really truly a need,” says Billie King, Coordinator at Shepard's Cove.

The Closet is open the second Sunday every month from 1:30 to 3:30.

Geeze Ron! Their are people out there less fortunate then we are, they probably need them, some cannot afford to go out and buy new clothes every month, I know I can't, however let the good deed of these people do want they want to do, have a heart. Maybe less negativity and a bit more positive thinking will do us all some good!!

Let's not turn something beautiful into something ugly before it's time ron. If only more people felt a need to act on a calling in their heart, the world might be a better place. God bless the makers AND users of this service.
