Hey all...

A historic moment has taken place - talk show queen and basically the world's most powerful woman has stepped down and ended her talk show of 25 years.

More than 30,000 guests have graced her stage.  There have been plenty of tears of sadness and laughter, arguing, and 'ah ha moments.'  The massive empire Oprah Winfrey has created is nothing short of spectacular.  The woman has her own TV network named after here for goodness sakes!

I missed the finale event at the Staples Center because I was out of town but did catch her very last show.  Dressed in pink it was basically her, a chair, and an audience - though she never sat down.  She thanked the viewers for 25 years, what she's learned, and what people have learned for her.   Love her or hate her, the woman was watched and had an impact.  From giving hundreds of millions of dollars to charity, starting a school, corporation, TV network, other TV shows (Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz, Nate Berkus, Dr. Phil, etc.) Oprah knows what she is doing.

So as a huge chapter in TV history comes to a close - what are some of your favorite moments?

The face fo daytime TV has changed and will never be the same.  She's taught me a lot - both in my life and working in television for which I am grateful.

Congratulations, Oprah.

Good bye Oprah...now you can get a life, you've lived a fantasty world, made successfull along with the Springer types that thrive on your contents. The goodie two shoes you portrayed, ie; giving an audience cars really didn't cost you a dime, but made you look like a million...good ridance.

Good riddance. How anyone could watch that brain dead garbage is beyond me. Oprah got rich off a bunch of emotionally disturbed people who have nothing else to do but watch her so-called "show." She laughed all the way to the bank.

I think Oprah ended her show the way she wanted it to be. It was her way of saying good-bye and reminding us of the lessons we had learned along the way. I will miss Oprah. She was a part of my life and yes, I am a better person because of her. And, people have to give her credit--she could interview anyone. She tackled topics no other person would have thought about. Oprah was a class act all the way! I don't think we will find another like her for a long time.

I was a little disappointed in her final show. I thought there would be more fanfare, clips of people saying goodbye to her, etc. Yes, it was "her" show, and we the viewers were her fans, we learned so much from her. Her shows were both entertaining and at times eye-opening. Topics were discussed that would not ordinarily be a "big news" item to most viewers. I will miss her show. Oprah "you did good girl".

I admit, I was not an avid fan. I didn't watch every day loyally. However, those times I did catch Oprah's show, it always touched me that she NEVER took the side of the "devil's advocate" towards her guests. This lady is classy all the way. The emotions that were shared, the turmoil in the lives, the changes, and the joys experienced were never in any way diminished when Oprah brought them on. The shows I got to see made me think "I am a better person because I saw this on Oprah" more often than not. Nothing fancy, nothing over the top (well, except for the later giveaways, but come on! an audience worth of new cars? Who can't love that?), just a straightforward lady with a straightforward message: we as individuals enrich the lives we touch. Go and share the blessings given you so that others may be blessed as well.

I'm not a big fan of Oprah, but she did a lot of good. There will definitely never be another like her!
