JOEL: A Lazy and Relaxing Labor Day Weekend? 9/1/'08

Hey all...

First let me just say this morning's newscast was quite different.  Not once did I say the words "Police are looking for" or "leaves one person dead" or even "It happened near the corner of..."  Wow, that is rare.  We had ZERO Michiana crime or accidents reported on the show this morning.  Rare.  I guess the criminals don't work the Labor Day weekend either.

Secondly, Happy Labor Day!  It was a pretty lazy weekend of nothing much.  I headed down to the Blueberry Festival in Plymouth, Indiana on Saturday and I wasn't alone.  About eleventy million other people decided to do the same thing as me.  It was very hot, lots of screaming children, insanely crowded, and had a ton of food that tastes great but will require a double bypass.

I'm going back this afternoon.

They have deep-fried Twinkies, snickers, oreos, and everything else that will cause your arteries to slam shut.  Hey, it's the last harrah of Summer so we might as well live it up, right?

Have a great few days!!

JS

**  This weekend we have 2 special guests on the Saturday morning show.  He loves to run in slow motion and the other loves to have people fight.  Hmmm....
