JOEL: Another Fair Weekend 8/25/'08

Hey all...

Yep, another murder in South Bend this past weekend.  Yes, I said ANOTHER.

Ok, moving on.  I was up in near Holland, Michigan this past weekend.  I headed home to see the family and of course my giant dog Bentley (he's a GORGEOUS Boxer).  I don't go home as often as I like (usually about once a month or so) but the 85 mile drive really isn't too bad.  Plus, it's a way to get a good, home cooked meal.  I headed to my hometown fair on Saturday night - the Hudsonville Community Fair.  Of course it poured the entire time but ohh well.  Can't really do anything about that.

Thoughts on Obama's pick of Joe Biden?  Is this a good thing?  I wonder who McCain will pick later this week.  The polls are close with many showing McCain ahead by as much as 5 points.  Who knows - we are still a long ways away.  It's getting interesting.

Have a great day!

Another murder? Surprise. Shootings in Mishawaka are up too, just no one reports it. Joel, investigate the crime in Mishawaka, no reporters are paying attention. On Biden,I like him, but I don't think anything could be good for Obama. The lies about him are repeated so often by "journalists" I don't think anyone will trust him. McCain has the upper hand because he just uses his POW story to dodge questions. Thank you for your service, but enough already. I don't support either of these candidates, but, honestly, do you really believe McCain has that many supporters? The man has not given a plan, admitted he doesn't know the economy, and has Joe Lieberman correcting him on foreign policy, which is supposed to be his strongest area. If McCain wins this election, I would attribute it to the 1700 cities with electionic voting machines with no paper trail. FYI, there is rumor that McCain will pick Kay Bailey Hutchinson (sp?) My bet was on Bobby Jindal. But Romney is sitting high.
