INSIDE: New weather features come to WNDU.com

WNDU prides itself on being Your Severe Weather Station.  To better serve our viewers, we are proud to announce all new online weather features.  The biggest addition is a hyper-local weathercast called YourCast.  Select the city or town you are interested in and get a complete, hour-by-hour forecast to help you plan your day.  You can get direct access to the weather models to see the predictions that affect your life.  Select a city from the drop down menu in the top right corner of WNDU.com or go to the weather selection and find a city on the map.  We also have a regional map that will allow you to get detailed weather information outside of Michiana.

We also have a slew of new weather features and information including in-depth severe weather coverage and information to help you plan a day at the game, a weekend camping, or tips on how to help your pets handle storms.

WNDU.com also got a face lift.  There have been minor changes made to the home page layout to give our users a better online experience.  We've taken the feedback you sent us and made some suggested improvements such as adding a 5-day forecast to our home page.

We have also added a new section called “The Watercooler.”  This section features the weird, the controversial, and the outrageous stories that might get people talking.  Be sure to leave your comments to let everyone know what you think.

All of these changes should make visiting WNDU.com a better experience for anyone.

Please leave comments about the changes and let us know if there's anything else you would like to see at WNDU.com

The weather forecast is great, but is is usually missing the WHY of the weather. You seldom show the jet stream maps to explain why things are happening. Seven day forecasts are of little value because they are very seldom correct due to the ever changing weather conditions brought by a changing jet stream. The weather this week is a prime example of these changes. The beginning of the week forecast a nice warm up by Thursday. Now it is Wednesday and much colder than Monday (not the 65 degree forecast). Not once while I watched did you explain why it was remaining cool instead of the warm up you forecast at the beginning of the week. Explaining the why of the weather patterns would help educate all viewers, and I believe, would enhance your weather coverage.

I think you should add the 7 Day Forecast back! I don't like this new layout at all for the weather page. The people who wanted a 5 day must be fools to think that is better cause its NOT! Please change it back in the future. Thanks!

The 7-day forecast is at the bottom of the page. -WNDU.com
