"It's probably better I didn't make it there isn't it?" That's what Danica Patrick said after she was stopped by security from well.. attempting to beat up Ryan Briscoe. Patrick was... peeved.... at Briscoe for ending her day at Sunday's Indy 500 when he drilled her car in pit lane. Danica was in the right. It was Briscoe's fault. But what happened after was almost really cool. Danica started walking down pit lane essentially looking to pick a fight with Briscoe. Too bad security cut her off. Come on... how cool would that have been? A female driver throwing a punch at a male driver? I mean, what would it mean? A third of the world would have hated Briscoe for hitting a girl, a third of the world would have said Danika deserved it, and a third of the world would have said, 'good. women are finally being treated just like men." It would have been chaos. So I'm thinking. What is the best way to settle this. How bout Danica vs. Briscoe in a WWE inter-gender brawl. Vince McMahon sees the dollar signs. And what better place than at Summerslam, the premiere wrestling event of the summer. We could make this a mixed tag match if we want. Give each 'driver' a tag-team partner to even things out. Danica could be teamed with Hardcore Holly. After all, at one time in his WWE career he was known as Sparky Plugg, a nascar driver from Alabama. We can stick Briscoe with any female wrestler. That will even things out. But to make things interesting, let's have Ryan's trainers be two guys recently inducted in the WWE hall of fame---Jerry and Jack Brisco. Who cares that their last names are spelled differently. This is pro wrestling---we can just just say they are related. The only thing that could make this better is if somehow we could put this premiere event at the home of the Indy 500. Oh wait. Summerslam just happens to be in Indianapolis. Oh this is just too perfect. Let's make this happen. |

As soon as Danica gets old and ugly she'll go out like yesterdays trash. As for Briscoe he was wrong in hitting her coming out of his pit....but thats the problem with Indy racing....if it was NASCAR they would have just bump the fender out and go racing. As for Danica, does she want to be a racer or a pole dancer? If she really wants to be a racer try her luck in the NASCAR Nationwide series, it would be better watching her race there instead of the little boys they have coming up. Posted by: Kelly Location: Warsaw I think Danica is going to have to learn to cool her temper or the IRL is going to kick her out, that league will not tolerate poor sportsmanship. Its not like Briscoe intentionally took her out, what would he have to gain from that. It happens....she needs to learn to move on instead of stomping down pit row everytime she feels one of those drivers is out to get her. She did it last year to Weldon. Its not like she stood any chance of winning the 500 this year anyway based on her position at that time. I was there for the race. Her ego has inflated to way more then she is entitled to having only been an IRL driver for a few years and only becuase she won in Japan. I like Danica, I have a Danica shirt, but the more she acts like a child, the less I hope for her to win any race, let alone the 500. Posted by: Anonymous I wanna see Danica kick some Briscoe Tail........ Posted by: Carolyn Location: Niles, Michigan I am an Andretti/Green Racing team fan all the way but Danica has got a temper on her that she needs to put in check she has even tried to go after her teammates and that is not cool at all. I was down at the race and heard her screaming at Tony Kanaan and he is her team mate. This girl has a real attitude and if I was Michael or Mario I would drop her real fast. As a fan it was embrassing to watch her stomp her feet and kick things around. But Tony Kanaan will always remain my favorite as well as Marco. For a young kid he will win the 500 soon. Its just a matter of time. I was walking down gasoline alley when Danica was pulling her temper act. She needs to grow up and act her age if she is going to compete. She will loose her fan base real fast. I think she has promise but not with her temper, that gets you no where. Posted by: Don Location: Maryland I have a feeling that Danica would have won that fight. |
