As Seen on TV: Stick and Click

Tens of thousands of people lost power during our recent storms. No doubt many folks were literally left in the dark.

In fact, I ended up using this very product when my power went out for nearly four days.

It's called the Stick and Click. They're small, very bright LED lights that, as the name would imply, you're able to stick about anywhere you need light.

Would I take a dim view of the Stick and Click following our As Seen on TV Test?

When you buy the Stick and Click you actually get three in a pack. It's about $3 a piece. It takes three AAA batteries and you just replace the back, you twist it and that's how it comes on. Then, you just simply Stick and Click.

On the back of every Stick and Click, there's dual tape adhesive and you peel it off and then you stick it where you want to click it.

Now, here's a place that almost never has a light, under the sink. We'll just stick this on the bottom of the sink and there you have it, you can see everything pretty clearly.

The Stick and Click will work real well say if you're in a dark room in a basement, say a storage room that doesn't have any electricity in it. You just peel it and stick it. And there you have it.

Now, let's say you're in the dark in the basement and you need a flashlight. The nice thing about the Stick and Click you can twist it off the mount and use it as a flashlight.

So my conclusion about the Stick and Click is that it's a pretty simple idea, but it's actually a fairly bright idea and we'll give it the thumbs up.

The manufacturer claims you can get 100 hours of light. So I put three Duracells in one and left it on to see if I could get 100 hours of light. Believe it or not, the Stick and Click was still working.

It wasn't nearly as bright as with fresh batteries, but I was still getting light from it.

I paid $10 for my set of three Stick and Clicks at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They are in a lot of stores and all over the internet.
