How many times have you needed a flashlight only to find the batteries inside dead?

What if we were to tell you, you'd never have to worry about that again?

Every home should have a working flashlight but I will bet you plenty of homes in Michiana right now are without one.

If that's your house, this unusual flashlight may be for you.

The Shake Flashlight is the flashlight that never needs a new bulb, never needs batteries, and so says the manufacturer because it works by magnetism.

It looks just like a regular flashlight, shaped like it, it has an on-off switch, but right in the middle there is a magnet.

In order for it work, you shake this and the magnet goes back and forth and it will generate enough of an electrical charge to give you light.

The manufacturer says you are supposed to hold it horizontally and shake it back and forth for thirty seconds and that should give you five minutes of light.

After shaking it and turning it on, I wouldn't say a very bright light.

Although, how many times have you picked up a flashlight that's been sitting for months with old batteries in it and you hardly get any light?

After five minutes the beam has gotten pretty weak, but I'd say overall I was very impressed with how this worked. You shake it for thirty seconds and you get decent light and say if you're caught in your house and the power's out, it could be a very valuable to have.

I can tell you I've seen the light, so, the Shake Flashlight is going to get the thumbs up.
