Wishbone is a 7-month-old Parson Russell (formerly known as Jack Russell) puppy.

He is very, very active and needs an environment where he will have plenty of time run off all of that excess energy. Wishbone is very friendly with people and other dogs, especially those his own size. We believe that he would do very well in a busy home with any age of children.

He does like to chase cats, but currently lives in a foster home with a few fairly dominant felines who keep him in line. Due to the prey drive characteristic of his breed, a home with smaller animals of any kind would not be recommended.

This little firecracker does eventually run out of steam and at that point loves to curl up in a nice warm lap. He is doing well on his house training, but will need continued guidance in a new home. He is already crate trained.

Wishbone is available for adoption through South Bend Animal Care and Control and fostered by a Paws 'N Purrs with IMPACT volunteer. If you are looking for a new family friend for the new year, please consider this little lovebug.
