Unique Eats: Dream Dinners. Why not make it yourself?

Why shop every week for groceries when you can make all your family's meals at one place, at one time? This is Dream Dinners. Its Michiana location is on Grape Road next to the Barnes & Noble in Mishawaka. Come in with your cooking hat on and it's as easy as one, two, three.

Owner Jean Ruppert-Boling says, “You stand in front of the station, read through the recipes, scoop your ingredients into pans and bags, we provide all your pans and bags and cooking instructions and labels and we do all of your clean up after your meals.”

The 14 meals and plans change every month so your family won't get bored. Everything is already pre-measure and you just follow the recipes, add it all into a bag, and in less than 6 minutes, your meals are ready to go. All you have to do is bring it home and bake it. Dream Dinner staffers are on hand to help with anything you need. As for the clean up? For get about it!

“I actually have some people, after they make their first meal; they say they feel guilty walking away from the mess. After the second meal they love the idea they get to walk away.”

Some of the menu items include chicken picatta, spicy burgers, and peach cobbler, and maple thyme pork chops with bountiful baked beans.

Meal packages begin around $140 and each dinner has multiple servings...enough for left overs. Also, you can make everything to taste. If the recipes call for spices and you're not a fan, leave them out. Your kids like a sweeter peach cobbler? Add another scoop of brown sugar. Before you know it, you’re done.

“They save time, money, and they spend more time with their family and less time in the kitchen. They get to do the things they like to do.”
