Step inside the "The Game" and you'll have no trouble catching all the action as well as grabbing a bite to eat.
It's one of the newest additions to the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. With the Super Bowl this weekend managers are hoping "The Game" wins big with customers.
Of the 19 flat screen TVs one of those is the 8 by 12 foot projection screen - making anywhere you sit the best seat in the house. Speaking of seats, there is plenty of bar space and even the bars double team as benches.
Head into the skybox for an elevated view of the game, complete with privacy electrolized glass that turns clear with the flick of a switch.
The entire restaurant works with your senses. The 22 foot industrial ceiling has color changing panels and a massive 4-sectioned ticker scrolls the latest sports stats as well as translux digital score boards.
But sports fans love to eat so we did just that. I met up with executive chef Eric and sous chef Jeremy Wood for some game day goodies.
The food is plated and ready to take the field...now time for the starting line up. Here are just a few of the items you can find:
*Tilapia fish tacos with mango salsa
*Turkey burger wrap with fries
*Smothered chicken with cheese, bacon and mushrooms,
*Double roasted pepper chicken quesadilla
*Smothered waffle fries (double bypass not included)
*Roasted garlic buffalo wings
The burgers are made with ground prime rib. The Hawaii burger with dried pineapple, and the signature sandwich - the black and blue burger with mushroom and blue cheese! Feel bad because you spent so much on game tickets? No worries because most everything on the menu is around $10.
Last but not least - in this corner we have the desserts. The pretty and refreshing key lime pie sits patiently as the 9 inch tall - 10 layer chocolate cake make its first appearance - tag teamed by the fork.
