Our Storyteller’s piece this week was brought to you by Joe Fryer of KING 5 News.
He tells the story of Neil Bergquist, a man with the dream of hosting a snowball fight in the city of Seattle. The only problem, the city lacked snow.
But where there’s a will, there’s a way. Bergquist and his friends worked with KLB construction to haul 160,000 pounds to the city.
Dubbed "Snow Day," the event was a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County. Companies donated money in exchange for a little space to build a snow fort.
