Everyday police officers put their lives on the line to fight crime and keep you safe.

This week, you can say "thank you" and honor those who have died in the line of duty by donating blood.

Gary Roberts' brother was one of those officers. He joined Kevin Lewis and Kay Clark-Cox from the South Bend Medical Foundation on 16 Morning News to talk about the Fallen Officers Blood Drive.

The blood drive is being held on Wednesday, June 13th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the South Bend Police Department and Thursday, June 14th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mishawaka Police Department.
