Experts say those with pets will actually live longer, healthier lives than those without pets.

Pets are proven to lower blood pressure and give companionship, but shelters all across the country need help to stay open, including Pet Refuge in Mishawaka.

Pet Refuge is holding its 27th annual benefit auction Saturday, March 24th. The event is being held at The Hilton Garden Inn in South Bend beginning at 5:00 p.m..
