Notre Dame student featured on Seventeen Magazine cover

Lindsay Brown, 21, is a Notre Dame senior who traded in her soccer scholarship for a chance to help third-world country girls find empowerment through the sport of soccer.

She went to Nepal to volunteer at the Kopila Valley School and she began the first ever all-girls soccer team in the country.

She also started the SEGWAY project, which stands for "Soccer Empowering Girls Worldwide And You."

She is Seventeen Magazine's 2012 "Pretty Amazing" winner because of her efforts to help others and she is on their October cover, which hit news stands on Sept. 11.

Check-out her interview with NewsCenter 16's Kevin Lewis in the video above.
