New exhibit brings inside look into how toys work

A new exhibit is bringing kids an inside look into some of their favorite toys.

Discovery Zone in the Silver Beach Center opened up its "Toys" exhibit Friday. The exhibit features displays like a super-sized Etch-A-Sketch that allows kids to understand how the toy functions.

Other classic toys like "Jack-in-the-Box" and "Operation" are also featured. The interactive displays help kids learn about the science behind their toys.

"Toys-The Inside Story" was developed by the Montshire Museum of Science of Norwich, VT and will be at Discovery Zone for the next six months.

Admission to the Discovery Zone is $6 per person. Thursday evenings are half price through the school year.
