South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is encouraging residents to get involved in their community, not only to make it look better but also to help others in need.

Mayor Buttigieg joined Tricia Sloma on 16 Morning News for the monthly chat with the mayor.

Mayor Buttigieg says "Every year this program seems to grow, and people really seem to enjoy it. It may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of how you want to spend a Saturday morning, but people really enjoy each other's company when they get out there."

"You're able to see your impact right away, and it's so fulfilling, and it's fulfilling for me to see," said the mayor.
