Massive flames ripped through a South Bend home. It happened in the 2400 block of West Huron around 1 a.m. Monday.
Horacio Galbez lives nearby and captured the incredible scene on cell phone video.
"When I saw those flames expanding, I thought the house might blow up. Fortunately enough, nothing happened," he said.
The homeowners were sitting on the front porch when they smelled the smoke and escaped. The family dog however, did not get out in time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. It's believed the fire started in a bedroom.
