Several healthcare providers across Michiana are teaming up to give free cervical cancer screenings to local women.
Dr. Michael Method is a gynecologic oncologist and joined Tricia Sloma on 16 Morning News to discuss the free screenings.
"If you have a need and haven't had a pap smear you can have one now just by calling United Health Services," said Dr. Method.
"We understand that many women in our community are struggling like everyone in the nation, and we want to be able to provide that access," said Dr. Method.
Dr. Method says women should get a pap smear after the age of 21.
To check eligibility or make an appointment call United Health Services at (574) 247-6047.
