Goshen company gives back to local community

A Goshen man and his wife say they're giving back to the community after inspiration from a famous shoe brand.

Garner Wireman, owner of One4One, says his inspiration came two years ago from Blake Mycoskie, the founder of Tom's. Wireman operates through his online store (liveone4one.com), and also at the Goshen Farmer's Market.

One4one sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, headgear and tote bags. And for each sale, he gives one in return to the Elkhart community. So far, Wireman says he's partnered with Elkhart County, the Salvation Army and the Center for the Homeless.

The company model is simple: one for one. And Wireman says in this, he's able to help provide community needs of food, water and clothing. And he's also focusing on a clean environment. His products are eco-friendly, made with organic cotton and polyester that helps keep plastic out of landfills.

Wireman says during the holidays he's lowering prices to help make it possible to provide more to those in need. Shirts that are normally $28, are now $18. And totes that are normally $15, are now $12.
