The National Institutes of Health say as many as 16 million Americans will be affected by Alzheimer's by 2050.
Because of that statistic, the organization has launched an $80 million campaign to further research for new treatments.
Currently, 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer's. Both the patients and their families are working to manage sometimes difficult symptoms.
A free Alzheimer's CARE training workshop will be offered at Home Instead Senior Care, 3025 Grape Road, Mishawaka, on May 30th.
The workshop will deal with how to manage behaviors, encourage engagement as well as help caregivers care for themselves and their loved ones.
