Families that lost everything in a series of tornadoes last week are relying on the help of strangers to survive.
On Monday, Feed the Hungry of South Bend will load up supplies to deliver to the towns hit hardest by tornadoes.
The Logistics Director for Feed the Hungry, Bob Boucek joined 16 Morning News to talk about ways for community members to get involved in relief efforts.
Feed The Hungry is working with churches in the Marysville and Henryville Indiana areas by supplying truck loads of ready to eat foods and liquids.
Boucek says monetary donations are greatly appreciated and one of the best ways to reach out to those in need due to fuel and other costs.
Every $20 given to support US Disaster Relief will send an additional 400 pounds of supplies while every $100 given will send 2,000 pounds of relief. For more information about Feed the Hungry, click on the Big Red Bar.
