An 84-year-old woman's murder remains unsolved nearly six years after it happened.
Mary Hake was discovered by neighbors on March 9, 2006 dead on her kitchen floor.
Hake lived in the 54000 block of 29th Street in South Bend.
"Her neighbors were very attentive to her," said Lt. Cindy Kilgore of Michiana Crime Stoppers. "They had the feeling something wasn't right."
The first responders said her death was caused by natural circumstances. "It was later upon examining her body that they discovered she had been stabbed," said Lt. Kilgore.
"Later that day someone had been arrested on unrelated charges, but in that area," said Kilgore.
Police have an idea who the suspect may be. They have done interviews, but are looking for more information.
If you have any information call Michiana Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP.
